For the duration of the Spring 2016 semester, our interdisciplinary design studio will be looking at opportunities for a sustainable food hub in Las Vegas. Through the collaboration of research and design, we will critically look at the needs of the area, and propose a solution to problems we find. I find this project exciting because it is tackling a large problem, food security. We will be entering this project in the Living Buildings Challenge, in hopes to create a project that is both feasible and sustainable.
